Default Some Relationship Tips

In order to maintain the magic and sustain the spark, happy couples know they must:

Start solid. Remember that best friend you had when you were a kid? Whether blissfully playing side-by-side in the sandbox or building an awesome fort together, you two just grooved on being in each other's presence. Happy couples share that same serendipitous groove, if in the all-grown-up world. Romantic chemistry aside, they genuinely like each other as people and truly enjoy walking down the path of life hand-in-hand.

Keep it fresh. Routines and traditions can give a couple a comforting sense of predictability that's both grounding and reassuring. But surprises and adventures are also essential to really keeping that spark alive. Happy couples make a habit of shaking things up a bit by planning weekend getaways to undiscovered destinations, saving their pennies for a dream vacation, or launching fun and ambitious projects together. Having exciting things on the calendar to look forward to and sharing new adventures together reaffirms their connectedness and refuels the romance.

Clear the air. It's perfectly natural for any couple to encounter frustrations, disappointments, and miscommunications from time to time. But if grievances go unaired, they can pile up to a mountain of resentment and put the relationship at risk. Happy couples make sure they keep the communication open, and navigate those inevitable rough spots with honesty and mutual respect. If any issues should arise that seem too big or too complex to resolve between the two of them, they'll schedule some sessions with a couples therapist to help them safely weather the storm.

Have a life. A healthy relationship consists of two individuals who each maintain a strong sense of themselves and take a genuine interest in the other. One may decide to go back to school to pursue a higher degree, while the other may get involved in a volunteer project or a photography workshop. Maintaining individual identities and pursuing individual interests ensures that there'll always be new things to share and to learn about each other.

Tune it up. Whether it be once a month or once a year, a regularly scheduled sit-down can allow for some essential upkeep and maintenance of a healthy relationship. Happy couples may agree to a periodic summit meeting to check in with one another about the overall well-being of their partnership. They may discuss what they've been appreciating about one another, what dynamics could use some tweaking, and what is on the horizon for their future as a couple. A little preventative TLC from time to time helps keep those relationship engines running smoothly.

Welcome to the ATLF.

It's been said many times before - "Love makes people do the most foolish things." So it's usually better to always think twice.

I think "keep it fresh" is one of the most important tips. Fresh relationships always giving something new and interesting. Nowadays it is very difficult to keep it fresh. Busy life, job's problem can move away you. Keep fire alive))

Amazing article and great tips about maintaining a healthy relationship. Here I would like to share some more that will be helpful for all.
TRUST. having trust to your partner is a major deal to eliminate possible future unneeded quarrels and improve your happiness. I'm not saying you should trust him blindly. but if he has not show any clear sign of unfaithfulness, don't start looking. this is also applied to you. are you someone that can be trusted? if you want to trust other people not having an affair in your back, then don't be the person who do that too.

- COMMUNICATION. trust can be built over communication. try to maintain a reasonable communication each day. do not let a day goes by without at least saying hi to each other. this one is clear. if you two love each other, this is automatic. Trust and communications are one of the most effective ways to be happy in a relationship.

- GIVE SOME SPACE. as lack of communication may lead to dried love, too much communication may also lead to unneeded quarrels and get to each other's nerves. don't be a clingy girlfriend, who needs to be everywhere his boyfriend be. everyone, especially man, needs his own personal space. let him crawl back and find you after his own "personal business" is done. but like I said, don't let the relationship becomes too dry without communication at all for a long time. balance is the key.

- OCCASIONAL SURPRISE. occasional out-of-ordinary event or gift may refreshed your relationship and keeps everyone happy. just make sure that you don't do that too often. how much is too often is depends on your own relationship. it's different for everyone. you must find the number yourself. balance is the key.

- OCCASIONAL PRAISE. man is made of pride. if you can push his pride button in a right way, and he feels like he becoming more "manly" when he's with you, I bet he will become a much nicer boyfriend day by day. he don't have to save you from the villains for you to praise him. praise him for something simple, like picking you up to school / workplace / home, or thank him for a great dinner. but don't get too overboard, as it will make him feels that your praise is cheap. enough is enough. balance is the key. you have to find your own balance.

- TALK ABOUT FUTURE. talking about future will give your relationship a deeper sense of meaning. it's not just about hanging out, lovey dovey couple which activities is only going to parties or watching theater. when you two started to talk about something more important, your plans, your dreams together, how many babies you want to have together, it will keeps your relationship interesting. just don't push about marriage too hard, or it will pushed him away.

- TELL A JOKE. a good laugh is an icing on the cake for a good relationship. if you has a funny traits, then this is an easy thing for you to pull up. but if you aren't that type, then you might need to learn one or two jokes. or you need to learn how to make your boyfriend laugh, in your own way.

- BE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN HAPPINESS. you can't just throw your bitterness to your partner if you had a very bad day. it will strain your relationship with someone who actually can help you vent your anger. don't think that your partner has to be responsible to make you happy all the time. your own happiness is your own responsibility. to depend your happiness to another people is nonsense. it will defeat the purpose if you broke up with him. and a man also likes his girl more if he sees his girl in happy condition, than who always gloomy and demand that his boyfriend make her cheerful again. if you're in a happy condition, trust me, your relationship will also feel more happier.

- DO NOT HAVE AN UNREALISTIC HOPE. to have him to always pay attention to you 24/7 or always text you every minute will only gives you disappointment. to hope that he will change his bad behavior or bad character is also a hope stretched too far. accept him for how he is, and let him accept you for who you are.

- Last but not least, DO NOT HAVE SEX BEFORE MARRIED, WITH YOUR BOYFRIEND OR OTHER PEOPLE. Sex before married, more often than not, usually destroy supposedly happy relationship. you don't need sex to have a happy relationship before married. and the bonus is your sex life will be great if you never have sex before married. if you have, then stop. after a couple have sex, they will never be the same. they cannot look into their partner and not thinking that their partner is all theirs. this will be all ok if done in marriage, which is because they are already "own" each other. but if done before married, this weird feeling will destroy the happiness as it corroded trust very quickly. as the "I own you, nobody may own you other than me" feeling grow bigger, trust disappear, and suspicious arose. then it will strain the relationship. if you're having affair and slept with other people, then you'll filled with guilt and will be unable to look into your boyfriend's eyes. it's all just the same. if you're confused with all of this, then just read the final word: "don't".
