Though time and distance separate us
As it seems they always do
For me, there is no other
Than sweet, wonderful you
No matter the distance between us
Your love will never depart
I keep you with me darling
Right here, deep inside my heart

Here's an older poem I wrote several years ago. I'll post some new one's soon
The skies outside are grey and cloudy
Reflected in my grey eyes
That are filled with sadness and lonlieness
I sit alone in my dark den listening
To the sounds of silence
Thinking to myself if this were a
Television show at the end of the show everyone would appear
They'd laugh and joke and say
Now, you wouldn't think we'd let you be alone
But, alas, this is the real world
This will not happen for me
So I must sit and watch time slowly go by
Greet the happy trick-or-treaters
With a smile and act like I enjoy my solitude
But on this night I do not
This night of ghouls and goblins
Things that go bump in the night
Jumping at every shadow, every sound
Shivering as the cool autumn air creeps in
As I am alone on Halloween night

As promised here's a poem I wrote just today. I know it sems odd. I don't rhyme. I write free-form. Just how am. :)
He warms my heart
He lifts my soul
He makes me see the world
As never before
He lights up my life
He heals my heart
He makes me want to be
A better person
In so many ways
He is truly a blessing
A gift from God
I’m lucky to have him
I hope he knows
How much I love him
Adore him
Need him
And that I’ll never
Let him go

Love is Many Things
The street washed clean by a summer rain
The soft glow in a child's eyes
The roll of thunder, when your safe inside
The breathless feeling of walking in freshly fallen snow
Catching the beauty of a countryside
Autumn splendor
Love is many things...
Held safe in someone's arms...
Whisperings...wonders that are shared
Listening...seeing...feeling...sharing...
Lo, love is many things

Here's one that was written by a Scotsman who I got to know from another forum. I had asked his permission to share it with others, and he agreed.

Eroticism
Time has no meaning when we are together,
We only wish this could last forever.
In each other's arms we are blissfully aware,
Of these special feelings we tenderly share.
I pull your body closer to mine,
We intertwine legs like a spreading vine.
I kiss your eyes, your lips, your hair,
Your heart beats fast from your breast laid bare.
Gasping and sighing you move your hips,
As I deeply kiss your waiting lips.
Lightly my fingers run over your thighs,
Your excitement showing through softening eyes.
Your arms encircle me, your hands hold tight,
As on your neck I playfully bite.
With searching fingers I caress a nipple,
And feel your body tremble and ripple.
I draw your breast to my open lips,
You pull me between your churning hips.
You guide me into your sacred place,
Ecstasy and satisfaction contort your face.
Our bodies immersed in erotic pleasure,
Our minds enfolding the feelings we treasure.
In tight embrace we slip into sleep,
Content in the knowledge of our passion so deep.

Forever You Will Be
No matter where you are,
No matter how far,
Remember I will always be there,
Just wish upon a star.
Life is a journey,
One to be lived,
Let the spirits guild us,
Where ever we live.
Take the gamble,
Never regret,
The sun will always shine,
If we just let it in.
Nothing is for sure,
How could it be?
Just know in my heart,
Forever you will be!

Grow old along with me
The best is yet to be
When our time has come
We will be as one
God bless our love
God bless our love
Grow old go on with me
Two branches are one tree
Face the setting sun
When the day is done
God bless our love
God bless our love
Spending our lives together
Man and the wife together
World without hurt
World without hate
Grow old along with me
Whatever fate decrees
We'll see it thru
For our love is true
God bless our love
God bless our love

Here's another poem by Mr. Withey
=====================
The Note
I moved across to hold you tight,
To kiss your lips in the morning light.
To entwine my fingers through your lovely hair,
Glad to know you were lying there.
Rubbing my eyes, I could only stare,
The sheets were cold, the bed was bare.
I checked the clock it was only four,
Your robe was gone from behind the door.
I listened to hear your gentle tred,
To feel you slip back into bed.
But as the daylight filled the room,
I felt an unfamiliar sudden gloom.
I arose and hurried down the stair,
I had a feeling you wouldn't be there.
Apprehensively I looked around,
Hoping to hear a familiar sound.
You were not sitting in your favourite chair,
The room was cold in the morning air.
Your make up and clothes, all were gone,
Slowly the truth began to dawn.
In my hands I laid my head,
Trying to think of something said.
That gave you cause to quickly depart,
And leave me with an aching heart.
Then I saw your hurried note,
Where with empty feelings you simply wrote,
"Forgive me please I know not why,
My love for you has been a lie".
- John McKay Withey -
"Grey sky
grey road
grey buildings
in the grey rain
Through this wide dead greyness
walk two children
one bright red
one pale green"

Write in the book of living
Many sweet words to comfort the restless soul.
A tender touch that lingers always.
Words of promises that will last eternity.
The past. The present a story unfolds.
The future a crystal ball that tells no secrets,
Friends united unbreakable and unstoppable.
Mixed message that can never be sorted,
Angry words that can never be taken back
One chance easy to lose forever,
Turn your back and I walk.
Once bitten twice shy a lesson always to be learnt.
Many random words,
Many random gestures,
A destiny unknown...
Choose your words wisely,
Bite the tongue until it bleeds.
The sun shines bright behind the clouds,
Every so often breaking through.
It makes no sense and yet it does,
For this is life and how it sings.
Some happiness some sadness.
Write in the book of living and take in the knowledge you learn,
Listen to past lessons but don’t discriminate with what you know,
Open your ears and your heart and see how it grows.

Irony.
I lost you.
Yet.
I've never had you.
I know you.
Yet.
I don't really do.
I miss you.
Yet.
I've never been with you.
I love you.
Yet.
I can't say I do.
The shortest story of my life.
Yet.
The longest of my soul.
The words are easy to write.
Yet.
The words are hard to say.

What would it take
For you to notice me
For me to catch your eye
What would it take
For me to be yours
For you to be mine
What would it take
For us to belong together
For ever as long as we're alive
What would it take
For us to love the other
For me you, for you I
