Falling in love is complicated enough, so what happens if the object of your affection is your ‘best’ friend? :o

I've been in love with a friend a long time ago. For me it was hard because he had no idea & I was way too shy to tell him how I felt.

I think on some level he knew though, but he still remained my friend & confidant.

I had a boyfriend who happens to be my best friend before we started our relationship. Things were not so great when we entered the boyfriend/girlfriend thingy, we realized that we're better off as friends, but I have heard a lot of successful relationships of best friend turned to be boy/girlfriends. So we'll never know. Who knows your story might be a successful one. :)

If that person is really your 'best' friend, then I think it is better to leave it the way it is, unless you clearly find each other attractive. If this is the case, then I advise the two of you to become 'Friends with benefits' if you know what I mean. If this is not the case, then you'd better leave it as it is and let your feelings slowly fade away.
