i've a guy friend i met studying abroad 2 yrs ago. i've always liked him but never confessed. we became close friends in that yr. after, he came to my home country for few months for study. when he went back to his country he left some items (box of mostly clothing) at my place. i later offered to post them to him but he said there was no need as they're not that important. in the time we've been apart we've kept in monthly contact. now, 8 months on he's planning on flying over again (11 hr journey) to retrieve his stuff.

what are people's impressions are of this, do you think he genuinely just wants to get his stuff...or could he..possibly....miss me?! he does have other friends here, although i know that they're not that close, that he'll probs visit which could also be a reason he's coming. am i overanalyzing?

Trying to figure somebody's intentions is pretty much like predicting the future. Unless you're absolutely sure....or have that sixth sense, its just better to make an educated guess.

I'd just wager that 11 hours flying is a long distance and time to travel just for some stuff. If you feel that strongly about him, maybe you can work up the courage to tell him?

Just something to think about.

Oh! and welcome to ATLF :).

Welcome to ATLF! :)

I agree with aces, we or even you can't predict or know what is in this guys heart.

When he comes back to where you live, talk to him, let him know how you feel & see where things may go from there.
