What is a middle-age crisis? Not that I am having one - hold your horses! But I hear a lot of talk about it - guess I am in that "age zone" where people have one. Anyone had one? Is it better afterwards? Is it the end of our youth and the beginning of the rest of our life - or something like that.

Yes - confusing question, but I am quite a confused person at times so I am off to bed with a book and will leave you alone.... for now. :alberteinstein:

I think it is a time of looking back at your life and having regrets about the past and worries about the future?? I have not had this happen like that..in the broad sense...but I have my moments. I think we all go through this to some degree...some wayyy more than others. Those are the ones that go out and get the sports car and trade the old wife for a newer model and etc....lolWhat is a middle-age crisis? Not that I am having one - hold your horses! i think its finally realizing you are coming closer to death... the end of your life and you start to freak out that you havent done all you wanted to, so you go back and go crazy!! :)

yeah, I agree with Aussie. :D hehe With men...they realize they are getting older...they get new cars, new gf's (some, even though their married), new haircut/color...just go crazy. They spend money and live the high-life. With women it can be a time of reflection. Maybe they change their look, change who/what they are looking for. Things like that...it's different for everyone. :)

I had a serious crisis, when I was 28. It was the feeling that everything ruines: career, personal life etc. Than, the new priority were set and now I feel better :).

I have seen people in middle age depression! Women at 30 and Men worst at 40 :). Though its said that women are technically perfect at 30 ;) and men get naughty in their 40's...

your thoughts?

well i feel more comfortable or confident as a woman in my mid-thirties than in my twenties! what a confusing time that was... can't speak for men! except they are nuts! :)

i think men are always just a little behind, thats all. they mature slower than woman so it seems like that stage in their life would come later as well.

I think men (me included) reach a point in their lives when they look back at their lives and wonder.... is this it?! As they see the years fly by, it becomes a very anxious time in their lives. Some try new things.... some do not. I have a new job now, new gf (:) @ Tuxette)... I don't have enough money for new 'things'. It's probably a good thing... LOL! I do have goals in life, and they are quite a bit different than the goals I had when I was younger. :D

I agree with alot of what has been said already.

I think for some people when they hit a certain age & can't do the things they used to as easily or at all, they kind of freak out. They try to re-live their youth & see if they still, "have it".
