Hi,

I'm trying to find unusual ideas for a gift for the first anniversary with my boyfriend. I've already bought a DVD a a few little things that he should like, but I'd like to do something that he should remembered as unusual. I've found this website: themostexpensivewish.com , and I'm thinking of making a wish for $6 that would stay on the front page for a long time. It's not really more expensive than a card, and I guess it's unusual and looks very pretty on the website. What do you think? Is it a good idea?

could be..if that is what he is in to?? I think the most memorable things are thing that do not cost...things that you do to create a memorable time. A surprise picnic or nice dinner on a beach, or sexy photo shoot, or maybe make a CD with his favorite songs..., a gift basket....a themed gift basket, even a naughty gift basket..., just something that he is in to and enjoys...think about things that makes him happy and how you can incorporate into a gift idea.Hi,

Hello, Api and welcome to ATLF. I agree with Goldie. Those are all great ideas. Like she said...it's whatever he's into. :)

Thanks for the ideas. I've already given him pictures of us in a nice frame, and we've had picnics, and sometimes nice dinner for occasions. But I quite like the idea of a gift basket, especially the naughty one ;) Though I'm not sure to find enought things to put in it  Maybe I'll make a free wish and will send it to him by email. I know he loves e-cards, and that's kind of the same but I think in more surprising.

You might want to think about maybe a pamper session for him.
If you go professional it runs $15- $100.00
Or you could go get some oils and lotion and do a full spa/pamper session for him.
That will run you anywhere from $5-$30, depending on what all you want to do???
Most guys would be syked that you would even think of baby them for a change.
Guys need to be pampered every now and then too.
Just an Idea.

I did exactly that for my wife two years ago. I got her a gift certificate for a nice spa treatment ... facial, massage, mineral bath, the cucumbers on her eyes, and the whole nine yards. It would take her a year before she actually redeemed it (within days before it expired!), but she admitted having a wonderful time there. I asked her if she would want another, but her reply was "not anytime soon." :p

As far as the opposite sex is concerned, I really cannot picture myself having such treatment. The closest I got to such was having this "thing" (I don't know what it's called) on my nose until it dried ... I still couldn't believe all that "junk" that stuck on that thing when I peeled it off. I must have really one dirty nose! Overall though, I still prefer to be in the giving side, rather than on the receiving end of it. :D
