Okay, basically i have been with my girlfriend for three years. Im crazy about her. We broke up about a month ago, but still talk all the time. We broke up mostly because of me. i want more. im 19, and have been with her and only her and for some reason i am always tempted by other girls. i have never cheated, but have definitly flirted and come close to cheating which is aweful. i feel like a complete ******* because i am crazy about my ex girlfriend, but i want to go out and basically have a one night stand. i know that my relationship isnt worth giving up for some stupid one night stand, but i cant get that desire out of my head..someone please tell me why i feel like this!! how can i care about somone so much, but still want something more?

Welcome to ATLF, glad that you joined us! :)
Well maybe because she was your first girlfriend you are thinking that there is more out there for you, maybe you want to "explore" more.
I would advise that you go out there & see what's out there for you. Maybe after a while you will realize there's not a lot out there that has the same as your girlfriend has & you will want to try again with her.
Then again, maybe you will like being single & having the lifestyle of not having a relationship & you won't miss being with her.
Either way, you do need to explore what's out there to figure out what you want.

i think you are probably wondering what else coudl be out there, so despite the fact that you love your ex, you still want to just play the field a bit.
the good news is... if you go out and explore and at the end of the day you are still in love with your girlfriend, youc an be much more secure in your love, you know? you will know that she really is the one for you because you have had more experience.
