View Full Version : Asking out: a bank teller?

No clue on how to title this post. The question is pretty specific though... I'm seeking advice on asking out a bank teller?
The girl who works at my bank is very cute. Off and on, when I visit, I've had very short brief conversations with her and she seems really cool. Of course, she could be nice to because it's her job but you never know. I'd still like to talk to her some more but as you can imagine, standing in line at a bank isn't the most relaxed setting with people behind me, in line, eager to see me get going so they can be helped.
Normally, when I ask somebody out... or somebody that I've spot at a store or resturant... I at least give it a good 5 minutes to try and read them and if they seem somewhat interested in me or what I have to say, then I'll take it to the next step and ask them out. I just find the setup at the bank, as you can imagine, to feel rushed and I'm sort of looking for quick ideas and fast approaches?
I'm just lost for ideas myself.
And as far as the old jokes about the teller seeing my bank account... I've heard that one. :D

Welcome to ATLF csk79! We're glad you're here.
Hmmm.... if it was me (don't worry Tuxette, I'm NOT looking), I'd write it down on a piece of paper and slip it to her during your next transaction (asking her out). I don't know how 'original' that would be, but it makes sense to me. Good luck whatever you do. ;)

ahhhaha my first thought was sort of like tuxies, when i read your title my thoughts immediately went to slipping her a piece of paper that read something like, "if you empty the cash register no one will get hurt" and then flip it over and have it say "because no amount of money could be worth a date with you" ahhaha but i probably would be careful with my idea, it needs a little tweaking and it needs to be really clear youre not trying to rob her

 Ummm........................ no.
I wuz thinkin' more of something like "I'd really like to have a chance to get to know you better. Could we go out sometime?" :) Maybe, a little less original than aussie's note... but certainly not as risky. :p

hehe I know your not lookin', baby. Yeah...umm...that note Aussie mentioned may not be received well. They take threats very seriously. The note itself kinda makes me nervous...what if she doesn't read it and freaks? Maybe, just strike up a covo: How long as she worked at this bank? etc. Then maybe ask her what time she gets off from work? Then you've your opening to ask if she'd like to do something sometime. :D Good luck
edit: Oh, I'm sure she was joking.

In aussie's behalf, she probably was just kidding. But I don't think I'd kid like that. Well, back on topic now. :D

just ask her if she would like to have a cup of coffee after work sometime, don't specifically say for a date or whatever, keep it casual and then you have her to yourself to find out if shes really into you and worth dating, use this as a launching point to a date.
