Have ever heard a song and thought "Man, how deppressing!" only to find out the lyrics are words of love? Have you ever heard an upbeat sounding song that the lyrics were really sad and deppressing? Or maybe the song and video just don't seem to match? Have you ever heard a song that just doesn't match up? tell us the song and why. :D

The first song that comes to mind was "Mandy" by Barry Manilow. Uh oh... I'm telling my age here, aren't I. :p

Second one that came to mind (wif Tuxette's help) is "Love Lies Bleeding" by Elton John (awesome song by the way, if you get a chance to hear it... you should).

I know what you mean one of those song that makes you feel suicidal and slash your wrists and then you realize it's all about upbeat love! Can't think of any right now but will come back when I do.

And Tuxie if it's any consolation I used to know all Barry's songs!

And Tuxie if it's any consolation I used to know all Barry's songs! hehe I wouldn't have put it quite like that but yeah something like that. One such example of that which comes to mind is Boz Skaggs' song "Love, look what you've done to me". The music is very slow, very somber...played in a minor key. But you look at the lyrics...and they are happy lyrics of love. Very strange indeed!

Here's an example of a video not matching the song: Celine Dion's "it's all coming back to me now". The song seems to be about a breakup. but, if you watch the video...you'd think it was about her s.o. dying. Very puzzling!
