I thought it might be interesting to get some weather reports from around the world. We tried this at another forum that Tuxette and I were at, and it went fairly well. I'll start...
It's fairly overcast here today, generally gray and blah out. Rainy also. High temperature for today is expected up somewhere in the low 50's F/10's C.

Hiya shweetie. Well, you already know but I'll tell everyone else. Right now it's mostly cloudy about 30 degrees Farenheit/-1 degrees Celsius. With a high today of 35 degrees Farenheit/1 degree Celsius. With some rain/snow mix. (I think that groundhog lied lol)

gosh dang HOT. i hate this weather. its like... 30 degrees celsuis? (im on fahrenheit scale, its around 80-90 degrees F here)

After a few days of sunny, beautiful weather... and temps in the 80's F (26C), it is rainy today. Temps today are in the 60's F (15C).

Spring is rather slow to arrive here. One thing I can say is it's sunny. lol High today is gonna be 48 degrees F (8 degrees celcius) and partly cloudy. Spring can get here any day now lol

This is an old thread, but why not start it back up.
It's a cloudy day here, supposed to be 86degreesF with a very good chance of thunderstorms later on. Of course they are predicting the storms right around when I leave for home & the umbrella is at HOME! :( :)

Other than having an awful lot of rain last Thursday, the entire week has been very nice - sunny, blue skies and comfortably warm temperatures. But the nights lately have been very cold that I started taking out my sweatshirts and jackets, so I can wear them.

I haven't been outside since I got to work, but it does look a little warm outside & it's supposed to be warmer until Monday I think. I guess Summer doesn't want to leave Illinois just yet.

Today it's supposed to be continued warm, muggy. I think it's going to turn around & get seasonably cooler starting tomorrow, I sure do hope so.

Same here ... finally a break from the early to mid 80s temps, plus humid conditions. Today, it's a little cool but the clouds look very gloomy ... I miss the sun, the blue skies and white puffy cumulus clouds. :(

Hopefully things are alright where you are aussie ... footage of the raging fires that are being depicted in the news are downright horrible.
I called my brother tonight who lives in Irvine, and his wife's dad replied that they're doing alright.

yeah, my cousins evacuated in saugus, another one broke out in newhall apparently, so i think that makes 12 in all.
as of this morning at least one had died but its probably up since the new fire
and 600 homes were destroyed in teh san diego area alone :(
its horrible, im okay so far but we have a lot of dry dry chaparral nearby... i mean i live in a city between two mountains... very dry chaparally mountains. so i hope everything is okay, but the sky was almost orange today with ash, it was giving out orange light around 4 or so...
all of our outdoor sports, band, everything was cancelled :(
but the fires are pretty horrific and we are getting most of the ash cuz of the winds

Well once again it's a bit of a gloomy, cool day. I believe it's supposed to be a little sunny later on, I sure hope so.

Very chilly today, 36 degrees, it looks pretty sunny out too. Hopefully it will warm up a little bit as the day goes on.

Today is a very sunny day here, but it's pretty cold, 42degrees. From what I heard on the news this AM it's supposed to be like this all week next week with a chance of some snow flurries! :eek:

well, right here in Roswell NM, at my grandma's house, its in the mid 30's, and tommorrow, we're supposed to have snow showers with temps in the upper 20's overnight. YAY! I love snow so much. I've just been sitting outside in my shorts and a tshirt enjoying the cold, and doing what I do best, thinking about stuff.

It's unusually warm here in Long Island. Last I checked it was in the mid-50s, but it's quite misty that it could easily be mistook for drizzles. For Turkey Day tomorrow, Mr. Weatherman says that there's a 60% chance of "precipitation" -- why can't he just say "rain?" :rant:
Anyway ... as the saying goes around here, "we've got to see it to believe it, and then deal with it when it arrives." :D

It is pretty cold here today. It's 30degrees right now as I'm typing this post. When we took Lucy to the hospital it was snowing...YUCK!! Luckily nothing stuck, but it was 1 of those YUCKY days today.
I have been inside this morning doing some ATLF work and I have just been out side and the heat hit me it is warm today 71F not a cloud in the sky I opened up my orchid house to let more draft through and some of the heat out and I am about to start watering again
I brought in 2 more Hippeastrum's in flower for my wife to enjoy I have to water all the of them as well.

It's surprisingly warm at this time of the year in my end, but very misty though. It rained briefly earlier. Now it's clear and very windy. I took a walk tonight to the nearest liquor store for a bottle of wine, and the not-so-full moon was more than enough to light the path that I was walking on. Alas! the store was closed, so I walked back home. The moon was so bright I didn't even need to turn the flashlight on. But it's very windy though ... it reminds me of the strong evening breezes when taking a walk along the shore, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

omg, its like 31 degrees, with snow flurries. My life coudln't be any better (weatherwise).
I just took a nice 15 minute walk with shorts and a t shirt on. feels so great.
Everyone tells me I'll die when I go up northeast for college, but no way, I love the cold.
It's 30 degrees here! :eek: I'm used to 80 degree Florida weather. This is horrible!!!

Today we are supposed to get all kinds of fun surprises!
Wind, snow, rain, sleet, ice...right now it's 29degrees & looking out my window it does look like it's a little breezy out. Perfect day to stay in, snuggled under the covers watching movies.

Today it's only supposed to get up to a whooping 29DEGREES! 1 good thing is we didn't get any of the ice storms that they were predicting the past couple days. It rained most of the day yesterday, but stopped in enough time for the streets & sidewalks to dry up before the temps fell last night.

I have to say we got about 4inches of snow last night into today. It's supposed to get bitterly cold tonight, like 2degrees with wind chills in the -18degree marks!! :eek: Right now it's 16degrees & going down!

the weather at home has been quite mild today I am on my way to Melbourne and its going to be 35 C/95 F that is hot lol

Oh my goodness you all, yesterday we hit 64degrees. Then had some very wicked weather go through IL yesterday, actually had a lot of rain & thunderstorms! :eek: That is very unusual for January.
Today more rain & it's supposed to get colder later on tonight & the rest of the week.
This season is crazy last week it was below zero cold, this week it's been way above seasonal temps, but going back down to cold. This is crazy. :eek::dontknow:
It says it's 60 degrees outside, but it feels much warmer.
It was a very hot day for me today the temp was 41 C - 105.8 F

Really windy rainy and horrible.
Telling some customers in bad parts of the country that they can't have an Engineer for 2-3 weeks because they are all booked up isn't fun at all.
We can't help the weather but they are meant to get one the next day

It's in the middle of January here in Long Island, and it's quite unusual to remove the Christmas decorations with a sweatshirt on and a pair of shorts. Usually, the temps are supposed to be much colder with snow ... but not this time I guess? It's seems like a repeat from last year. :rolleyes:

Amazing what a day makes in the big apple. Yesterday, we had about a trace of snow; slightly lower temps (about 30-33 degrees F), and then it was clear all day. I even had a great time in church as I lead the congregation to praise and worship with the band.
This morning, I was greeted with over a foot of snow! There was about 3 feet of snow blocking the front door that I had to crawl out of the window to get out - I'm not exaggerating this. After nearly two hours of shoveling the driveway, backyard, and sidewalk only the Subaru made it out while the other two cars were still buried.
Considering where I was originally from (Syracuse), seeing up to a foot of snow (or more) is second nature to me. Today, however, I underestimated what mother nature dumped in my neck of the woods that I was forced to cancel all my sessions and appointments for the day.

WOW...you all got a ton of snow then huh? I was thinking of you yesterday when I heard that the snow storm was headed that way. LOL...our home office that is located in Jersey City had an emergency day where only a very few people showed up.
Here we sit in IL, we had a ton of snow & ice dumped on us this season & we didn't get 1 day like that...LOL...big sissies! :D

Well mother nature stopped dumping all that frosty treats all over the city about the same day it started. Just a few more clean ups here and there, due to the build ups caused by strong winds. I went back to work the very next day, and everything was fine. It's quite nice to see my neighborhood look a lot like Christmas all over again. :)
Honestly though, the over a foot of snow that accumulated here in the city was nothing, given where I'm originally from, as I used to deal with that stuff almost on a daily basis during winter season. But the big apple is such a heavily congested and densely populated area. While the driving *may* not be a problem for me, finding ample spots to park my car will be a problem. My job requires me to travel around the city quite extensively, and I really do not want to be a problem.
Overall, even though I was given a pay cut for not showing up for work, I believe that I did the right thing. Last Monday, I stayed at home, and allowed the city workers to do their job cleaning up the roads and streets. They did make my commute a whole lot easier the very next day. :)
