Counseling....
I think I might be the one guilty of recommending counseling. And the reason
I do is that I am myself in counseling. One on one psycotherapy and have been for exactly a year now. I get reimbursed, that's the way the system works here.
The thing is: I used to view counseling as something for freaks, as a matter of fact I used to view this kind of interaction on the net something I hardly thought would ever enter my life or could be helpful. I thought I was above that and always looked at people who were in counseling as strange.
Counseling is quite taboo - people in it rarely tell you they are doing it.
But when I collapsed, I realized I couldn't get out by myself alone. I had a major breakdown.
So I started looking around for help. The first thing I did is counseling and was lucky to find the right person. She helped me to get back on my feet. With medication. Once I could think a bit, I started reading books on related issues, then I hit the net and started browsing and a year after my collapse, I joined a forum for the first time: this one.
I strongly believe that using all tools available to me get better is the right way to go. The right way to go for me. So if I recommend it, it's because it
has worked for me.
So I apologize for the overuse.
