How did you find this place??

I'm just curious.. how did you come across ATLF?

I was a member of another 'love type' forum... but the members there were, to put it kindly, snobbish. So I did a quick search on Google for 'Love forums' and 'Romance forums'. I actually joined a couple of other ones before I found this one. :D

Randomly first forum I've ever visited, never been in an another one. And happy here so no reason to look elsewehere. It's cozy. What do you mean by snobbish?

Let's see, how do I put this? The second forum where I was a member...the Admin was this woman...who felt she shouldn't get involved with her members. I mean she didn't want to be anyone's friend. Didn't want to hear about personal problems. The only reason you could pm her is if it was a site-related problem. She seemed to despise weakness and would tear apart (with words not literally) guys that she felt were weak. She had some seriously wild mood swings. One minute she was happy, joking around. the next she was furious and threatening to ban you. But were not here to speak ill of other Admins. It just wasn't a good situation. I know that we strive to be better Admin's than that. :)

i found it because someone phished my friends myspace, and put up a bulletin for it, so i checked it out :)

I think i would like to share.....i was quite sad one day with my problems......i had feelings for a girl that was attached then...and this is quite a condemn case that i feel that my friends who all rebute me and no one will approve of this act of mine......and i am so confuse that i need to talk....

I did a search on yahoo for love forums and guess what, there was 2......ATLF was one..and there was another one that has lots of traffic movement....posting was almost done with immediate reply......lots of members etc....but then the comments i gotten from them were all low qualities..they didnt solve my problem but by adding in more sarcastic remarks that make me felt worse...i was glad i did a posting in ALTF..although slow and less members...the advice was great........and things get cozy here......

I never patronize that forum anymore........the people there seems to be gloating over people miseries.......:(

heehee....i suppose its the same...there isnt much other love forum either.....

post a thread, 2 days it be gone...and you wouldnt find any constructive suggestion in there......people are just trying to get post counts

I joined a love forum, but found out the hard way that's it's not the place for me. Some (not all) of the peeps there were just downright rude where the name calling, taunting, belittling and bickering seems to be perfectly normal there. After leaving it for good, I thought about not joining one again.

Weeks later ... I decided to give it another try. In my quest for a forum where I initially thought that I could share my stories, in hopes to reconcile and be in good terms with my lost love, I found the ATLF as per a yahoo search. I'm glad that I made the right choice, and have been here since. :)

I typed in 'love forum' on Yahoo! and got here. I was confused at the time (still confused now, to say the least) and got a lot of perspective on my situation. I am not depressed at all anymore.. I got my questions answered and now comes the "moving on" process.
