heard of speed dating???

i'm just curious cuz people have told me to try out speed dating...they briefly explained it to me and i liked the idea but i've searched the web and there are no speed dating areas around where i live...i check up to over an hour away in distance too...i was just wondering if those are only in big cities or certain areas of the country cuz i've never seen or heard about it until someone mentioned it to me...does anyone know if they have a speed dating website or something??? hmm, i guess thats what dating sites sort of are huh lol...

I dunno about a website. But yeah I've heard of it before. From what I've seen...basically you sign up, get a little name tag...and like number. Then you go on a series of 5 minute (or something like that) "dates". At the end you both mark down "yes I liked this person, want to see them again." or "No, I don't". After that I'm not sure. I guess if a girl marks you a "yes" and you marked them as such you exchange numbers or something? Sorry...I'm not real certain. But that would be a great experience for you if you could find it! There's another site I'd like to suggest. I'll pm it to you (we're not after advertising for other "dating" type sites and all)

I've heard a little about it but I don't think its something I'd try. How can you tell if you like someone after 5 mins?
