Well there are no easy definitions, really. But here are my thoughts on it...
Crush- I see this as more one-sided like having a crush on a teacher or a celebrity or something. Or it could be with someone attainable but still one sided because IMO if the feelings are returned that's something else. It is a fluttery feeling like "butterflies" when you see them or hear about them. It's a feeling of warmth when you think about them. Like- This can range all the way from friendship to "I really want to get to know you better". At that stage it may feel like a crush, but the feelings are returned. Love- Love to me is deep, lasting affection. After a while the "butterflies" will fade some. But will be replaced by a deep caring and affection. In romantic love there is also an aspect of physical attraction. It's something that seems to grow deeper with time. It's caring about their well-being. (Like does too...but love even moreso) It's wanting always to be near them and be as close (physically and otherwise) as you can. I feel this with Tuxguy and have for the past 1 1/2 years. When your in love...you'll know :)

crush - a temporary state of infatuation
liking - moving a bit further from the crush and wanting to know more
love - a rare experience that comes after the first two - give it time
although you will know quite soon if that's where you are heading
