What sort of things does she like? Any certain music, authors things like that?

Ya tbartolo, both of the previous suggestions are good. oyster has a point in ordering locally from a warehouse around where she lives. That would save shipping somewhat. tuxgal mentions music and/or books. I wouldn't think it would be that big of a deal to mail either of those things. :D

Think of a very specific interest of hers.
A certain rock band or sports team? Buy her a T-shirt or tour/gamebook off their website.
Favorite kind of dog? Buy her the stuffed animal version. Maybe even name it for better effect.
A UFO buff? Buy her cool book on the subject. You get the idea.
It does not have to be expensive. Believe me, (and I think the women here will agree with me) thoughtfullness goes much further in a gift than money.
Right girls?

Yes...that would be a perfect kind of present for someone you are into...finding out what they are into and focusing on that.

especially if youre shipping it, thats thoughtful of itself! :) or like a little inside joke of yours, something that connects you. like, for me, my boyfriend and i have these little dates with ramen noodles every so often, because he loved them when he was here in the USA but they dont have them where he lives, so i am going to send him some of those to let him know im thinking of him.. and its very cheap and leads to more dates! :p

Sunset seems to be the master on this ldr stuff lol! S/he is right, though (they don't say whether they're man or woman on they're profile. Sunset please don't get mad!), you have to look into her likes, hobbies, interests...you know, even things she doesn't like can give you insight on what to get her. For instance, say she hates bees and it's something she's stressed to you over and over, getting her bug repellant and sending a letter about how you want to protect her from fear would probably intrigue her. Another thing may be clothes. Does she have a certain color or brand that you see her wear more often than others, in photos? From the little to the big, all you have to do is look.:)
