i dont know if i should get back together with an ex

my ex has always been really exclusive, like when he is around no one else wants to be around me. we were together for 2 years and finally ended it because of trust issues and just mounting pressure, because none of my friends liked him and vice versa (they thought he was too exclusive and was around too much). hes a sensitive guy so when we broke up i told him we might get back together if we worked out the issues, and now he said that he wants to work things out. i care about him and dont want to hurt him, but i dont even know if i want to get back together with him. what should i do?

Well, have you guys worked through some of your issues? Has he said or done anything to make you think he's changed? If not, then I'd just stand back some for now. If he has changed, but you've kind of moved on, then let him know, gently. It may hurt...but leading him to beleive you'll get back together could hurt more.
