bumper sticker wisdom?

Whether shopping in our favorite stores, or running into a passing or parked car, we will read a bumper sticker every now and then. Some are downright funny, while others might be considered as insulting or just shameless commercial advertising and campaigns. But some of these do have a message and sometimes, a lesson to learn from.

Whatever the reason might be, it's time to re-live those funny, eerie, confusing, insulting, or p**sed off moments and share those bumper sticker messages on this thread. You may post a photograph of it too, if the occasion warrants it. :)

It's funny that you made this thread because this morning on my way to work I was stopped at a red light behind a white caravan. They had a sticker that said, "My grandchild was killed by a drunk driver." My heart sank when I read it. :(

Just when I thought I was having a horrible day, as I was caught in the middle of rubbernecking traffic yesterday on the Interstate. But then I read this bumper sticker on a Ford Taurus, and I couldn't help but laugh. It definitely helped downplay my traffic situation. :D

You know I haven't really seen many funny bumper stickers. Could be that I haven't been paying attention when I'm in the car.

The most I have seen lately are the "I'm the proud parent of an honor student at 'such & such" school". Those aren't very funny, unless their kid really isn't an honor student.

Unfortunately, I also saw the funny, but also disturbing and alarming answer to the bumper sticker you mentioned above. It reads: "My kid beat up your honor student"

I think this is more of a magnet, instead of a bumper sticker. On Christmastime last month (ahem, last year also), I saw several of those in the back of vehicles. It had a picture of the nativity scene with the message that reads: "Remember Christ this Christmas"

The message may be simple, but it did impacted at the way I perceived the holidays last month. I was able to take a break from the commercial and material aspects of the holidays, and reflect on the central figure of the holiday that bore His name.

I was waiting in my car by the church parking lot when I saw this bumper sticker message. It reads:

"God is dead." - Nietzsche
"Nietzsche is dead." - God

I think it's funny, but true. :D

Here's one I found while driving home on the Interstate tonight at the back of a Volkwagen Beetle. It reads:

"If you think the cost of education is too expensive, try ignorance"

I saw 1 a couple days ago & almost forgot to post it, it read: "If you can read this, your too close, get off my a**" Kinda lame, but it's the only 1 I've seen. :D
