I am glad that you wrote to the ATLF and I got to read and see what you and yours are about. I am glad, and I am looking forward to writing to you and getting back responses. I need help in my life and you seem to be an expertise in the field I surely need. When I post at websites like this though, it opens doors to other sites and they end up posting scams and other likes on my email address. I hate that. So, like others I feel I like, you can check me out, if you wish, and drop me a note at audrey c smith at verizon dot net. I already know going here, that someone else (plenty of others) are already dumping trash on my email account.

You and yours have a great day and lets start chatting about anything and everything, o.k. I may be able to help you all out as well.

Signed,

Audrey C. Smith

Good morning Audrey,

Thanks for the kind words. Let me assure you, neither tuxette or myself are 'experts' in the field of life and love. We are just regular people who care. We want to be any help we can be, not only to you... but anyone on ATLF. Thank you for the welcome, it's good to see you back. Now... let's get others back here and posting! :)

Just a word about the spam and your e-mail address. Any time you post and include your e-mail address within the post, you run the risk of being 'spammed'. I used to be at another forum where the mods actually went in and modified my e-mail address (they changed the @ to 'at'), just so I wouldn't pick up a lot of spam. The way this works (Dave can correct me if I'm wrong here) is there are search 'bots that do nothing but search the internet for people's e-mail addresses. They look for things like the '@' in text, thus locating thousands and thousands of unsuspecting potential victims for spam attacks. Tuxette and I were just talking about this a few days ago. At that time, we were thinking of going in and modifying those e-mail addresses, to help lessen the spam for posting members.

Anyways, have a great day.... and happy posting!

Hi Audrey thank you for the positive feedback!
Yes Tuxguy is right on..the spam bots search for anything with @ in it and wil scoop the email up and then send out spam. It is best never to post your email address in full always try to break it up and put a (at) instead of @.
