A TASMANIAN family has kicked off the New Year as instant millionaires after winning more than $1.4 million in last Saturday's Tattslotto draw.
The family from northern Tasmania won its share in Saturday's $30 million draw.
The winning system 10 entry was bought at the Legana News and Lotto, north-west of Launceston.
Tattersalls spokesman Gerry Devine said the family was one of 21 entries to share the prize pool.
He said the ticket buyer, a young female member of the family, had never bought a ticket before.
