Need some help!!!

I have been dating the same guy for 11 1/2 years. I have been ready to get married for a long time, but he feels like he is just starting his life and wants to wait... although he is 29 years old. I love him very much, but I am ready to get married, and every time I bring it up he either plays it off with a joke, or he gets mad at me for pushing. I really don't want to leave him, but I do want to get on with my life and have a family. Any advice?

Welcome to the love forum, Andrea. I'm sorry for what your going through. It seems to me that you guys arejust at two different places in your life. I know you've invested a lot of time in your bf, but if he's not ready there isn't much you can do to make him ready. If after 11 years together, he still isn't wanting marriage and you do, it may be time to move on. Only you can decide that. If you are happy just dating him until he gets ready, whenever that is. Then that's fine. But if you want and need something more than I don't think he's the guy for you. Good luck whatever you decide.
