I have been with my boyfriend well over a year now and, have known him for over three years & he has been hinting about marriage. we get each other gifts for holidays as most couples do well, last christmas i got him a GPS to recently find out that it is still in the box & for his Birthday this October i got him a nice police scanner that is still in the box. also picked him up a couple carhart work shirts but ended up being to big, I got a gift reciept but he refused to exchange them. so now he has two nice shirts that are two big and can't wear. I feel like going and getting him two more of the right size just out of spite. I have gotten him things in the past year that he has used and been very greatful but if he feels like I spent to much he gets stubborn. I don't feel that i have spent anymore on him then he has spent on me over the past year and frankly don't care about that. the scanner was around $225with shipping and the GPS was around $150 I don't feel that those are unreasonable gifts. It seems as though if it's over $100 or so he wont have anything to do with it. is this weird or what.

it makes me feel like he does not like what i get for him, I put a lot of thought into those gifts i have told him that but he says i shoudn't spend so much. Does anyone have any idea why he does not except some of my gifts?

Maybe he is just not interested in the gifts you got him. Does he like a particular sports team, a band, golf, cycling, or something else? Get his gifts relating to what he REALLY likes to do best.
