Women and how they relate to one another

How do you think women and girls relate to one another? I think women and girls tend to tell stories about what happened, who said what, where they went and what they did next. I think women question why people said certain things. Women tend to try to figure people out more. And women tend to gossip more with other women, and share more secrets with each other, than men do with each other. What do you think?

Gosh this sure is the case as most women that I have known or do known are quite the talkers and share and talk about their kids and their husbands. The men are quiet and just do things and it is sometimes hard to get out of them anything much at all (unless you know them well and long). Sometimes the men even get mad and stew and ignore the spouse or date, or have trouble thinking and so they don't say very much.

I find that women do gossip alot. Working in a small office with just 3 women, there's a lot of stories flying around. I also work with a lot of men & they gossip quite a bit too, but not to the extent that it could possibly hurt someone's feelings.

I think that teenage girls nowadays are not very friendly with eachother. They gossip about EVERY little thing whether it be clothes, friends, or just plain old jealousy.

Girls tend to hold grudges & remember situations longer than guys do, making it harder to put things aside to just be friends OR just forget about it and move on. Guys just have a few words, then poof, they forget what the fight was about 5 minutes later & they are drinking a few beers together. :rolleyes:

I do agree that women tend to try to figure out other people more than men. I think it's almost instinctual as women tend to be 'feelers' while men tend to be 'do-ers'. So that tends to make women talk way more than men.:rolleyes:

Any workplace I've ever been in has always seen problems with different women having confrontations over the silliest things. :rolleyes: I've really tried to stay away from that. I have to say although I love to talk I try very hard not to gossip or be confrontational about little things. It just complicates everything.

Know what kills me about this? If you're into reality tv, there are some shows where the women most definately could overtake the men, but because women have this tendency to dislike each other or compete with each other them men wind up coming out on top. For example, this year on Big Brother 7 All Stars, the girls were VERY strong players, but let the men pit them against each other. It's really a shame that women behave like this because I think we have a lot to offer in life.:)

I agree with feistychik as well. Teenage girls hold grudges forever while men usually fight it out and it's done. Unfortunately girls bring everyone and their mother into these situations so it just spirals out of control.

I agree that women gossip a lot but actually men also gossip more then women. Women talks and tell stories about people whom she interact with but men start cooking up fantasy stories about women who they never met.

According to me, very few women can understand each other. Hence you will find that there are very few girls or women who have best friends of the same sex. They do meet each other often but thats only for shopping or gossiping. In some corner of her heart, a woman feels jealous for other woman if she has something better than her.

I have one best friend since like forever and I have aquaintances, I agree females can be very vindictive and they tend to gossip, I hate working with them and socializing also.

Men gossip as much if not more than woman. Woman tend to gossip, out of spite, or to have something to do with their idle time. Men do it to prove to other men that they are a man. The men that keep their business, or that that they hear from others, is a true man and should be commended. Woman like to talk to men about their problems. Most men want to hear about woman's problems so they themselves can get to know about woman better themselves. sinc. audreycsmith
